Jill Boultinghouse, MA Life and Executive Coach

About Jill Boultinghouse

I enjoy coaching clients in a style that is collaborative. I listen carefully to my clients, provide thorough assessments, inquire for clarification and to find new options, provide genuine feedback, assign homework and keep clients focused on meeting their goals. I am directive and goal oriented. Coaching with me is solution focused and my clients thrive on the momentum.

Coaching is more than consulting. Consultants typically come in with great ideas, at best, and then leave. They don’t remain to facilitate the change. When I act as your coach, I not only am a great thinking partner for you, but also a co-creator of change.

Since my educational background, training and experience is in the field of psychology, I have access to assessments/tests that the vast majority of coaches do NOT regularly utilize. I only use standardized assessments, unlike many coaches, that have publicly available normative data on reliability and validity factors.

I have my master’s degree in the field of psychology and I have done post graduate coursework in the field of coaching by an accredited college (and continually continue my growth and education). However, many coaches don’t have advanced degrees (let alone in a field that provides a foundation/specialty in human behavior) nor haven’t done training and education with an accredited coaching program that is acknowledged by the ICF (International Coaching Federation).

Coaching is best when mutual trust and respect are present. Since I have no direct authority over my clients, nor do I have an outside relationship with my clients, it helps them be more open with me, thus speeds the learning and results. I offer coaching in the areas of career, health, leadership, sobriety, and managing.

Finally, some other qualities and characteristics I possess that empower me as a coach are: strong listening skills, ability to be straight forward, strong organizational skills, integrity and a sense of humor. If you are interested in my services, call me for a brief telephone interview.
